“Eating Disorders Don’t Discriminate: Screening for Signs and Symptoms is a hands-on interactive workshop to provide clinicians a review and/or introduction of the importance of screening for eating disorders. Eating Disorders have the highest mortality rate amongst mental illnesses but often go undiagnosed for some time due to society’s current diet culture.
Beth Howard is a Licensed Professional Counselor in North Carolina and the Director of Clinical Outreach at Carolina House Eating Disorder Treatment Program. In her role, Ms. Howard assists in the assessment of clients’ eating disorders and the appropriate level of care. Through real-life examples participants will be able to identify and understand signs and symptoms of eating disorders a client would present with during an assessment or therapeutic session.

Beth Howard, MS, LPC, LCAS-A the Director of Clinical Outreach at Carolina House Eating Disorder Treatment Program. Ms. Howard is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate in North Carolina. She received her BA in Psychology from Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina and her MS in Mental Health Counseling from Pace University in Pleasantville, New York. Ms. Howard has experience working with children, adolescents, emerging adults, adults, and families through her work in private practice, higher education, and clinical outreach.
