Description: Transform Your Therapy Practice with Easy Ego State Interventions! Ever feel like your clients are a puzzle you can’t quite solve? This intro to Ego State Interventions will give you few tools to better understand your clients and work better with trauma cases. This training focuses on ego state therapy to help you see clients in new ways. You’ll learn to discuss dissociation and spot healthy, flexible states versus dissociative ones. You’ll learn a few easy-to-use skills right away—through the eyes of the polyvagal theory. This training is your chance to boost your skills and make a bigger impact on your clients’ trauma healing!

Learning Objectives:

  1. Participants will receive a short introduction to Ego State therapy.
  2. Participants will be able to identify how ego state therapy can help with trauma work
  3. Participants will describe the 3 Polyvagal States
  4. Participants will be able to describe forms of dissociation
  5. Participants will engage in hands on ego state therapy skills

Luna Medina-Wolf is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, a National Certified Counselor, and a Master Certified Addiction Professional. Luna is a part 1 trainer with the EMDR Humanitarian Assistant Program (HAP) Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, and a Qualified Supervisor in the State of Florida. Luna is the owner of a Group Private Practice, Helping Moon Counseling, P.A. that operates virtually in FL, which employs approximately 30 mental health professionals and student interns.

Luna is multilingual, fluent in English, Spanish and Hebrew. Luna is an extremely passionate, educated mental health professional who has the ability to counsel, instruct and guide others while emphasizing the importance of self-efficacy. She continues to participate in professional development of her own because she is respectful of the ever-changing societal aspects that can affect mental health. Luna believes that positive change is always possible, even for those who have faced the most difficult circumstances in life. Her life work is to empower those around her and to inspire people to be the best version of themselves.
