When a school shooting occurs, the entire community and beyond are impacted. Communal Trauma places a complex, demanding burden on community therapists requiring specialized education, consultation and support. This workshop will focus on the specific nuances of Communal Trauma and sequelae of anniversary reactions, traumatic grief and loss.

Attendees will learn about the complexities of Communal Trauma, the trajectory of healing and the intense and varied reactions evoked preceding anniversaries. Methods of managing these reactions in clients, in the community and for ourselves as helpers will be reviewed in depth. Opportunities for discussion, questions and answers will be provided.

The Mental Health Counselor’s Association Palm Beach is proud to partner with Florida Atlantic University, Ambrosia Treatment Centers, Professionals United 4 Parkland, and The Stone Douglas Alumni Association for a special event.  A FREE CE Workshop on
